Workout Mystery

So, over this past week I have managed to live up to my routine from last year of going to the gym four to five times a week. So far I've been three times this week. The first times were at seven and eight o'clock at night. The second time was at about four o'clock in the evening. For some strange reason, I found that my 4:00 workout was about a million times harder than my 8:00 ones.

I'm sure that this has to do with circadian (spelling?) rhythms and peaks and troughs and things, but really, it's just plain annoying. The only reason I'm trying to go right after school is so that I can get to sleep earlier at night. I would love to go workout during peak television time. I mean really, how can you beat working out to House, NCIS, or Criminal Minds? Instead I get Oprah. Not that I don't like her, more that my interest is not captivated by mystery, sarcasm, or good-looking actors with good American accents.

So, for now I'm going to keep trying to work out after school, feel like I'm running through sand, and miss out on the must-see television. If only I could crack the mystery of how to have it all in my workouts. I'd even just settle for feeling at top form.

I hear that when you want to alter your routine, those "rhythms" will adjust after about 21 days. Don't have any documentation at the moment, but it worked for me!

Of course, I almost died waiting for the changes to kick in, lol
