So, in the publishing business, publishers will send out copies of books to advanced readers before they go out bookshelves eveywhere. Then, the readers must actually read the book and then send in a review (as well as spread--hopefully good--news about the book in general).
Well, I signed on to the program and I was chosen as a reader for a book by Sara Douglass called The Serpent Bride. It is the first in a new series from the author that takes up five years after her last series (The Wayfairer's Redemption) left off. I started it on Thursday of last week and go through half of the almost six-hundred page book before I just had to call it in for the night. I'll post a review as soon as I finish, but I'm still in my excited/snooty/amazed phase. I just keep thinking: This book isn't even out on the shelves yet! I have a sneak peak!
So, until May 22nd, I have a head start.

Oooh! How did you get into that? Early, I mean?
Oh good, I definitely trust your judgement, so if it's a good review, I'll have to check it out!
Noelle--HarperCollins has a program called Advanced Look or Advance readers or something. I linked onto it from another site. I think you could probably google it. From there you just have to join their program and it's all a lottery whether or not you get chosen. Very cool, though.
Jimmy--Thanks for the vote of confidence. I don't always agree with reviewers or critics, but I'll do my best to put out a review with my honest and detailed opinion.
