Holiday Cheer Part 2

So, not to have the adults feeling too left out in the Christmas season, I have decided to include adult movies as well. (No, not that kind of adult movie, the kind which would tend to bore/confuse/scare/generally blow the mind of most people under the age of 12.) You may notice that several of these movies are musicals. What can I say? I grew up watching the classics. Who can resist a man who can sing? It's a Wonderful Life is there for the general culture-changing commentary. That is to say, it scared me to death the first time I watched it (aged 5) and so I try to avoid watching it at all costs. I must say, however, that I think it still deserves to be on the list.

Top Ten Adult Christmas Movies I Can Now Watch*

10. While You Were Sleeping**
9. It's a Wonderful Life
8. One Magic Christmas
7. Elf
6. Miracle on 34th Street
5. Scrooged
4. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
3. The Bishop's Wife
2. Holiday Inn
1. White Christmas

*One may notice, perhaps, the omission of A Christmas Story. This, I shall have to admit, is deliberate, as I hate that movie with a passion. I still have nightmares. Frozen tongues. Eyeless children. Icicles.
**Perhaps, While You Were Sleeping may not be considered technically a strictly Christmas movie, I still always make sure to watch it around this time as it takes place around Christmas time. This is the only reason it is at number ten on the list. I think it would be number two otherwise.
