So, despite having mistakenly received a "sorry, we're not going to hire you" letter from EFY, it turns out it was all a horrible mistake. They want me! I'm actually going to be an EFY counselor! I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to do it, but training for the session that I was slated for begins the day after summer school. It's like it was all meant to be!
I feel like I've been given so much so quickly. I feel so blessed, but it also makes me nervous. I just keep thinking about Newton's laws. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. So, I just keep praying for the good and trying to look on the positive side.
Which means . . . I'm going to EFY!

In regards to your post about being mistaken for your age... I was mistaken to be an EFY participant when I was an EFY counselor. It was great. The young kid asked me to dance so I said yes. Then he realized I was a counselor. I guess he missed the name tag...
I am so jealous that you are getting to be a counselor at EFY. I never had the opportunity to go when I was younger, and, a few years ago I applied as a counselor, but they didn't like me--obviously as much as they like you! :)
WOOHOO! I am SO jealous! My EFY summer was one of the best of my life. It was so rejuvenating and such a learning time for me! I'm super excited for you. Does this mean you'll be in Utah anytime soon? I'd love to see you, you could meet the little one, reminisce about the good old days...
