I just broke up a fight. I walked down the kid that stayed, wrote a statement, and went back to class two minutes late.
I hate hallway duty in my hallway.
I don't think the kids in my room even noticed the fight or that I was gone. I walked in and they were just reading their SSR books.

I'm impressed that you could break up a fight. I'm even more impressed at your teaching skills if your class would start SSR without you there at the beginning of class.
Thanks. The automatic SSR is a bit mitigated by the fact that I only have 12 in that class (a series of last minute drops at semester), but you have to go after the small pleasures.
As far as the breaking up the fight goes, just call me kung-fu master Mel.
